What a great delight that Radio One DJ Chris Moyles and his companion ‘Comedy’ Dave have endured their on air radio challenge and become new world record holders.
The pair have successfully managed to stay on the airways for a massive 52 hours and are now the proud owners of the title ‘Radio Endurance Marathon’ record holders.
Listeners have urged Chris and Dave on throughout their challenge and raised an enormous £2.4 million, which will go straight to Comic Relief!
Last night, charity supports tuned in to watch the Comic Relief Desert Trek, which saw a host of celebrities including Lorraine Kelly, Dermot O’Leary fellow Radio one DJ Scott Mills and Radio 4 presenter Peter White trek 100 km across the Kaisut Desert in North Kenya.
The trek saw the celebrities endure blistering heat, physical stress and sore feet! The celebrities meet African natives throughout the trip; many became a driving force of motivation for the trekkers who are raising money for Comic Relief and specially blind awareness.
Throughout the trip the famous faces got to see where the fundraising money really goes. It was fantastic, and quite emotional to see a blind man get his precious sight back with a simple and cheap operation with immediate results!
Here at Bath-Knight we are hosting a Pajamas Day, entering jokes into the Babybel Cheesy Smile All Round campaign and encouraging everyone to take part in our funny bath themed survey, where we will donate to Comic Relief for every completed survey.
From all here at Bath-Knight, have a wonderful Red Nose Day and most importantly get donating!
